Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 27, 2026

Pedal Galaxy LLC ("Pedal Galaxy," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Pedal Galaxy web application and the Pedal Galaxy mobile app for iOS (together, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service, whether through your web browser or the iOS app. Please read this policy carefully. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

When you create an account or log in to the Service, we collect:

  • Name — used to personalize your experience and identify your account.
  • Email address — used for account authentication, communication, and account recovery.
  • Device name (iOS app only) — when you sign in from the iOS app, we store a device name (for example, "Elliott's iPhone") to label the authentication token for that device so you can identify and revoke your active sessions.

We do not collect any other personal information beyond what is listed above. In particular, we do not collect phone numbers, physical addresses, dates of birth, or government-issued identifiers.

1.2 Payment Information

On the web, subscription payments are processed entirely by Stripe, Inc., our third-party payment processor. When you subscribe to Pedal Galaxy Pro on the web, you provide your payment details directly to Stripe. We do not collect, store, or have access to your full credit card number, debit card number, or bank account information. We may receive limited information from Stripe (such as the last four digits of your card, card brand, and expiration date) solely for the purpose of displaying your payment method in your account settings and processing refunds or billing inquiries.

In the iOS app, subscriptions are purchased through Apple in-app purchase. Your payment is processed by Apple Inc. using the payment method associated with your Apple ID. We do not receive or store your card or Apple ID payment details. We use RevenueCat, Inc. to verify your purchase and manage your subscription entitlement (see Section 1.5 below).

For more information on how these providers handle your data, please review Stripe's Privacy Policy, Apple's Privacy Policy, and RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

1.3 Information Collected Automatically

On the web, we use Fathom Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics service, to collect anonymous usage data about how visitors interact with the Service. Fathom Analytics does not use cookies, does not track individual users across websites, and does not collect personally identifiable information. Fathom is fully compliant with GDPR, ePrivacy, PECR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations without requiring cookie consent banners.

The anonymous data collected by Fathom Analytics may include:

  • Pages visited and referring URLs
  • General geographic region (country-level, derived from anonymized IP addresses)
  • Browser type and operating system
  • Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)

For more information, please review Fathom Analytics' Privacy Policy.

The iOS app does not use Fathom Analytics, and we do not use advertising identifiers or track your activity across other companies' apps or websites. When you use the iOS app, our servers process standard technical information necessary to deliver the Service, such as your IP address and the API requests your app makes while signed in.

1.4 User-Generated Content

When you use the Service, you may create pedalboard layouts, save canvases, favorite items, and submit support requests. This content is stored on our servers to provide the Service to you and, where you use both clients, syncs between the web app and the iOS app. Support tickets may include text and image attachments that you voluntarily submit.

1.5 Mobile Subscription Data (RevenueCat)

For subscriptions purchased in the iOS app, we use RevenueCat, Inc. to validate your Apple in-app purchase and keep your Pro entitlement in sync across your devices. To provide this service, RevenueCat processes a pseudonymous app user identifier that we associate with your account, your subscription and purchase (receipt) history, the product purchased, and technical data such as device and platform identifiers and IP address. RevenueCat acts as our service provider for this purpose. We do not receive your Apple ID credentials or payment card details through this process. For more information, please review RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

1.6 Device Permissions (iOS)

The iOS app may ask your permission to save images to your photo library so that you can save or share an exported pedalboard image. This permission is used only to write the image you choose to export; the app does not read, browse, or collect your existing photos. You can grant or revoke this permission at any time in your device's Settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Provide and maintain the Service — including account creation, authentication, saving and syncing your pedalboard designs across the web and iOS app, and managing your subscription.
  • Communicate with you — including responding to support requests, sending account-related notifications (such as password resets or subscription confirmations), and providing service updates.
  • Improve the Service — using anonymous, aggregated analytics data to understand how the Service is used and identify areas for improvement.
  • Process payments — by working with Stripe (web) or Apple and RevenueCat (iOS) to manage your subscription billing and entitlement.
  • Enforce our terms — to detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Use.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.

3. How We Share Your Information

We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Payment and subscription processing — We share necessary account information with Stripe to process web subscription payments, and with Apple and RevenueCat to validate and manage in-app purchases made through the iOS app.
  • Legal requirements — We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental regulation, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
  • Business transfers — If Pedal Galaxy LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or prominent notice on the Service before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

On the web, the Service uses only essential cookies required for the application to function, such as session cookies for authentication. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or any third-party cookies.

As noted above, Fathom Analytics does not use cookies or any form of persistent tracking technology. No cookie consent banner is required to use our Service.

The iOS app does not use cookies. Instead, it authenticates using a secure access token stored on your device, which you can revoke at any time by logging out.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect the personal information we collect. These measures include encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), secure server infrastructure, and restricted access to personal data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your account is protected by a password. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for any activity that occurs under your account.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable timeframe, except where we are required to retain certain data for legal, accounting, or regulatory purposes.

Anonymous analytics data collected by Fathom Analytics is not linked to your account and is retained in aggregated form.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access — You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction — You may request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
  • Deletion — You may request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions.
  • Data portability — You may request a machine-readable copy of your data.
  • Objection — You may object to the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.

You can delete your account at any time, directly from your account settings in either the iOS app or the Pedal Galaxy web app at pedalgalaxy.com. Deleting your account removes your personal information and User Content as described in the "Data Retention" section above, except where we are required to retain certain data for legal, accounting, or regulatory purposes. If you have an active subscription purchased through the iOS app, deleting your account does not automatically cancel that subscription; you must cancel it through your Apple ID subscription settings, as described in our Terms of Use. You may also delete your account, or exercise any of the other rights listed above, by contacting us using the information in the "Contact Us" section below. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than the country in which you reside. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to such countries.

10. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not operated by us. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. We may also notify you by email for significant changes. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
